Above: To finish out the night Kelly finds a locals waterfront hangout that’s part of Murrells Inlet called K-Rae’s Bar and Grille (pronounced KayRay) via our cell phone GPS system. Here we see eighty-foot long hand built yachts anchored off the pier in the middle of the river and eclectic boat filled marinas.

The fantastic restaurant offers deck views of the setting sun, and wrap around porches lead down to the dark fast moving water.

Just before bedtime the heavy blue silhouette of a heron wings past and briefly blocks out the sunsets glare. We crash for the night with the owners permission, waterfront, at this special bar and restaurant on the lovely inland waterway. I highly recommend K-Rae’s Waterway Bar and Grille especially when they have live music.
