Advantages - cheaper than MCI or Prevost for equivalent
size
Disadvantages - fewer dealers, steel body styles can
rust, some earlier models did not have much interior headroom
Notes - originally a high profile specialty maker of
school buses
Conversion Issues = older models have rounded roofs which
complicate roof installations of air conditioners, air vents, racks, etc.

Bluebird Express Commuter Bus 2003 +
Advantages - cheaper than MCI or Prevost for equivalent
size, stainless steel body, beautiful exterior design
Disadvantages - fewer dealers, not as high a resale value
in commercial market
Notes - this is their most advanced motorcoach to date,
40 foot and 45 foot lengths available, usually has caterpillar engine
mated to Allison 6 speed transmission, 102 inches wide, 143" high
with GVWR of 50,500 pounds.
Conversion Issues = open parcel racks are great for versatility
Bluebird Wanderlodge 450 LXi Bus 2004 +
Advantages - stainless steel body construction, multi-plex wiring improves
diagnostics and reliability for both chassis and house use, Vertical roof
exhaust for both engine and generator, huge fuel tank
Diadvantages - expensive, not many used around
Notes - designed and sold as a custom motor home
Conversion Issues - no conversion needed, sold from factory as a custom
bus
